Great colour, yellow.
Shame about the plate holder. If you told them you didn't want it, tell them to get it sorted.

If you are not keeping the car for a few years, the "cheap" RFL will not be worth it. The initial outlay post 1st April is £2000.

Eg, keep the car for 3 years, before April 1st you will pay £2155 in RFL. After April 1st you will have paid £2280.

I keep telling myself it's worth it in the end... It's very difficult, but resale value at any point will be worth it

66 plate @£500/year tax
vs
17 plate @£140/year tax

Man maths has to come into play here unfortunately!

I see what you're saying, but I'll have to pay tax either way on the mustang... I'd just rather pay less of it and spend it on other things!!

I am pretty sure that is the point I made. ;).

Man maths or bad maths. Take your pick but you have to be sure you'll keep the car for a good few years in order to justify waiting.

My man maths would never even look at tax. You buy a car on condition not car tax

My thinking exactly, chances of two identical cars with identical condition , mileage etc then yes I may consider tax. However for the 99% that vary if £350 per year is going to bother you on tax, then you are buying the wrong car!
Plus I have a black and purple skeleton horse stuck on the front, that alone is worth the extra tax for 5 years !!!
