Just Installed the Chute

Since I will be over 160mph this season I added a Motion Raceworks chute mount, cable, cable holder and Stroud 430 chute. I have no ebrake so I mounted the cable to that handle. I was pretty nervous about measuring and drilling into the bumper since I have a little ocd when it comes to this car so everything had to be perfect.

It turned out pretty good and also used a quick release door bar pin instead of a bolt so the chute is easily removable for the street.

That pin is what is holding the all of the weight of the chute pulling on the car? Also did you weld the receiver bar into the body?

Yes it has an 18,000lb strength rating and is used for swingout bars. No didn’t weld it, new grade 8 bolts.
