JLT Cold air Cone fitment, scratched by inside fender.

Just have a question , is it normal that the intake cone is so close to the inside fender metal.
That it make scratches on the cone mesh material.
I put a piece of foam in between as a solution.
Anyone has the same issue, or is it normal this less gap in between.

Mine is similar to that but not at close. How did your fresh air duct tube fit? Mine was the wrong shape and took hours to put on. The hood has a lot of tension on it too.

The airduct pipe was a bit loose.
It will slide back inside the airbox, so i put a screw in on top of the duct tube outside the airbox that will stop the sliding back in issue.

so it can not slide back in anymore.

Hmm maybe they redesigned the tube. Mine and a friends were the wrong shape and had to be forced on.
When you close your hood is it a very tight fit?

Fixed the problem of rubing.
Just loosen up the clamp at the coupler and adjust it out a bit.
Fit perfect now, no touching anymore.
Hope this fix also the Annoying resonance issue on the driver fender at 5000 rmp.
