Strange thing is, my dealer confirmed that the price on the invoice is the price I pay no matter what as I did enquirer as to if I'd need to pay an extra £1000 with the higher first year tax post April 2017 and they said no, price on the invoice is what they expect me to pay. My presumption is that they're wrong and will want an extra grand on delivery.
I would go with that assumption. I think I paid an extra 20 quid because of the tax increase after ordering

Good point, I might give mine a ring, although I doubt they even know its about to be built!! I think whatever they say I may have £1k in my back pocket.... I don't rust them! I bet there is a clause for changes in Tax law.....

I have it on my order form that I am aware of the April increase and will be paying the £800 odd extra to cover the tax increase when I pick up my new gt.

Mine was built on the 7th too, but no sign of it ready for shipping yet (assuming that it's the same link that Manders Mustang posted in his "Detailed Order Process" thread.

C'Mon :ford: I sold my Caterham the other day, my garage is rearranged and now looking very empty. I need my 'stang to fill the void!

Mine was built on the 6th and is on the 'Salome'.
Due in Zeebrugge on the 12th. Now told by some good info (@Sudaf) that it could be in dealer 7 days later.

Take that with a pinch of salt, 3 weeks is about the average once it arrives in Zeebrugge :).

I should have mentioned that we have same dealer and same sales guy.
Lets hope the ETD from Zeebrugge is around the same time ;)

Ah nothing to do with the dealer matey, it's all because of Zeebrugge, a few cars went through ZG really quick recently due to a 'missed boat' etc, if you hit ZG when there's a bottle neck, and there rarely isn't it's about 1-2 weeks start to finish, seeing them come from ZG in under a week is very rare, but usually coincides with 'other factors'.
Once it's left ZG then it's literally 3 days before it 'should' be with you if your dealer is pragmatic. When it gets to Soton, most of them are checked up and done on the monday (They usually land there on saturday), Once 'checked in' and security checked etc then your dealer can call them and ask for it to be bought up ASAP - that usually will take a day or two depending on demand, then, well, they need to PDI and it's free to take.
For reference, mine was in Soton on Saturday, Dealer prioritised it late monday, delivered tuesday, ready for pickup wednesday (without them having cleaned it etc, just PDI'd it), and instead picked up the following saturday.

Hope this helps ;)! Look forward to seeing yours soon though - not long :D!

I think mine was built around the same time and it's the same for me. To be honest Im starting to think having it registered April will be worth it anyway.

Someone at work was saying it would actually be more expensive to register it in April, but I'm pretty sure he's talking shit anyone know the actual consensus on this?

So, april reg will cost YOU £1000 more and Then standard fee's per month (C130 quid), you wont see an ACTUAL saving until year 4 of ownership/paying tax.(Year0(pickup)+Year1+Year2+year31000+130+130+130=1520 vs 0+525+525+525=1575 so on and so forth)
*Figures maybe slightly out, but they're around about the same

He maybe inferring it's more expensive to first register the car, any cars ordered AFTER the tax hike, the dealers will fork out for (expect another price rise of £1k on BOTH cars to cover this), however before then you'll fork out as it's not secured in the 'price guarantee' of the car.

(hope that makes sense)
