Issue with third brake light water leak.

Blade this is exactly what happened to me. When I pulled the middle of the headliner it turned out to be wet too.

Arches. I was also getting condensation in the brake light but didn’t think anything of it. I would definitely put some water on the brake light, sit in the back, and watch for a few minutes.

I fixed mine last week. Got a new one and put it on, along with some silicone on the outside and inside. Took about an hour and a half and cost $70 altogether.

An annoying problem but pretty easy to fix

Do you have a part number for the adhesive for that light? I can’t find it anywhere.

You’ll just need to get a whole new third brake light. Here’s a link from where i ordered it

Wow really? That sucks. Maybe I’ll just go with some custom cut 3M, the original light and the silicone. After I check to see if that where the water is coming in from of course.

Condensation in your lights is not a good thing. The cracks could be anywhere. If you go this route then you should at least silicone the entire thing so water does not penetrate as easily

I say just get a new light. When you take the light off you’ll under stand how a small crack can get water into the car.

I’ll get ford to replace it. Still under warranty. I just wanted to do it myself cause I know it’ll get done properly.
