Hi guys,

Just received powdercoated wheels from Need 4 Speed Motorsports / Project 6GR, but was a bit confused when I saw the back of the wheel. It looks like they left a gap of the wheel not powdercoated. The bronze strip looks like the previous finish and white was powdercoated over the front/inside barrel of the wheel.

I'm a bit worried that this kind of finish will end up chipping and eventually cracking off in pieces. But the vendor assured me that it shouldn't chip and that they do all wheels like that.

In the past, I have had 3 sets done by 2 different shops and they stripped the entire wheel and powdercoat the entire wheel. So this just looked a bit strange.

Figure I'd post here and see if anyone has done custom colors from this vendor. Or have any insight from previous powdercoating experience.

Thanks!

As long as its not like that on the front I wouldnt worry.
As long as it doesn't chip away, I'm not too worried. Just want it to be done right and have never see it finished like that before.

Whole wheel should have been done with the tire dismounted. As long as the fronts not like that I wouldnt worry

Right, don't think that it's possible to PC with a tire on.
