As I shop for tires, is is really worth having them road force balanced on a OEM size tire (235/50R18)? Its over $100 to do all four vs half the price for regular balancing. Its just a daily driver cruiser, no racing or anything like that. Any info would be appreciated.

I was at discount tires for another car and saw their tire balancer's and asked about it. I didn't see any other balancer type in the shop. So, my assumption (I know) is that they only offer road force balancing. Worth checking into, I think

Pretty sure that's how it is at my closest Discount Tire. I asked if my new tires would be road force balanced and they said yes. Balancing was not itemized, but $20 per tire for mounting and lifetime balancing, rotation (NA for staggered), flat service, etc..

I will have mine mounted out at the local miltary base, where I can stand there and watch them do it as with some hands on. They have both balancers, a regular digital one and the road force balancer. Nearest discount tire is over an hour away. And I dont trust most local places, for they have crap equipment and idiots working them.
Just not sure if I need to spend over $100 for road force balancing. hmm..
