Looking for help with ac on 16 GT. I know the evap cores go bad but trying to diagnose an intermittent AC. If it's cool outside (morning drives) the AC works with no issues. If it's hot outside the AC works when I'm cruising at highway speeds but only blows warm air in stop and go traffic. However in stop and go traffic it has come on for a minute or two and then gone back to warm air. Same for highway speeds - it's mostly cold, but a few times it shuts off and comes back on. Im guessing it's a sensor issue just not sure which one, or where/how to check. What I've done so far:
1. Fans work
2. Checked fuses and relays
3. Held RPM's higher when AC was blowing warm - no change. Its temp related not RPM.
4. Got a can of Freon. Gauge read normal. I've checked it twice with no change in levels. Ruling out a leak?
Where is the evap temp sensor located? Is it accessible without ripping the dash? I understand the ambient sensor is on the bumper, and cabin sensor I think is located near the steering wheel. Im just not sure which one to check, or how?
Thanks in advance.
