I really hope it's not a decal. That's utter garbage.

Axel spun = Large radius (~6")
Engine turned = small radius (~1/4")

The engine-turned is a decal over aluminum

How certain is this? It certainly does not look like or feel a decal.

At any rate, the brushed aluminum finish is real. You can see and feel the brush marks.
