Installed the UPR CSCC yesterday

Installed the UPR CSCC today, thanks to Steve Upr Gelles for the product and working through the install.
1. Remove engine cover and radiator cover using a flat blade screw driver
2. On the passenger side next to the radiator near the headlight you will see a 10mm bolt; remove this bolt and save as this is where the catch can will attach to.
3. Unplug the stock vacuum line from the stock or cold air intake nipple.
4. Locate and unplug the Variable Pressure Sensor (VPS) on the passenger side top of the valve cover.
5. Locate the other end of the tube the VPS was attached to, depress the clip, push forward slightly and pull back to remove the tube. This will not be re-used.
6. Using heat/hot water remove the stock quick disconnect fitting from the tube (end closest to the windshield/VPS sensor). Once it is warm you have to pull pretty hard/twist to remove the fitting from the tube.
6. Attach UPR CSCC to the frame, you may need to unplug the AC sensor to insert the catch can and tighten the bolt using a 13mm socket.
7. Attach the UPR CSCC long hose to one end of the catch can, route it however you like to the nipple on the valve cover; you will need to install the previously removed stock quick disconnect fitting into the open end of the UPR hose and remember to use the black metal fitting they supplied which will ensure a good seal!
8. Connect the UPR hose to the nipple on the valve cover.
9. Take the shorter UPR hose and attach it to the other port on the catch can.
10. Route the UPR line however you want to attach it to the nipple on the stock or cold air intake.
11. Tighten the knob on top of the catch can.
12. Install radiator cover.
13. Install engine cover
14. Start car and check for leaks.

Great explanation from Joe@UPR for what the CSCC does:

I'm glad you asked and just to clear the air anything from Ford as fixes are not going to address the real problem. The real obstacle is the fact that the boosted applications require more advanced solutions to control oil that require systems that can control the clean side of the PCV system on the passenger valve cover that draws it's fresh air from the Turbo inlet right at the end of the air intake.

Next the dirty side will have to be protected and that is where the bulk of the oil control issues occur and catch cans are installed. This is the line that runs from the driver side of the block next to the to the connector behind the throttle body to pull vacuum to evacuate the throttle body. During idle and normal driving it will pull vacuum and then part throttle to wide open throttle it gets pressurized and boost floods the crankcase.

This is when the UPR CSCC and UPR Dual Valve Catch Can work as a team and function exactly how boosted engines and PCV systems need them to be controlled. The UPRDual Valve Catch Can has a check valve in the line from the throttle body to the crankcase and it will close under boost and eliminate and boost seepage.

This check valve also allows the intake manifold to get a cleaner stronger boost signal and by reducing the amount of boost and positive pressure in the crankcase. While that is happening the WOT = wide open throttle line on the UPR dual valve catch pulls vacuum from the turbo inlet providing a strong source that evacuates the crankcase of blow-by and positive pressure.

Now anything excessive blow-by that makes it by the rings under WOT / hard acceleration through the gears and that is where the UPR Clean Side Catch Can provides the oil control for any oil that gets pushed out the clean side and dumps directly into the turbo inlet.

This is the dreaded blue smoke condition everyone refers to. We have worked hard on the system while everyone was busy flooding the market with as many products as they could produce as well as catch cans. We worked on just perfecting a few items and the UPR suspension and UPR catch can systems are what take the spotlight in the Mustang Ecoboost world.

I hope this gives you a better understanding of the UPR Catch Can System and the Mustang Ecoboost PCV system need for a more complex Catch Can System to be able to make it perform flawlessly.

If anything I have read has helped any one with a better understanding of these 2 oil vapor collecting systems then Bravo young man !
