With the proliferation of bigger and more coolers for these cars taking up space in front of the radiator, one thing I have not seen is something simple or cheap to increase airflow through all those coolers and the radiator. What about a boost a pump, running the fans instead of a fuel pump? It could be made coolant temp dependent, perhaps with a manual override switch that the driver could turn on to force max cooling even when coolant temps wouldn't otherwise call for it. Like, in the staging lanes...

Not just that, I'm talking about using a boost converter (what a boost a pump really is) to make the fans move more air than they can at normal voltage. Exactly the same thing as speeding the fuel pump up to let it supply more fuel than it can at standard voltage.

Fans already have mulitiple speeds, waterless coolant is the new thing.Does not overheat because their is no water,no corrosion and can remove the cap with the car up to full temp because their is no pressure because no water. Also keeps motor way cooler, but is kind of expensive.Evans makes it.

Fuel pumps on some cars also already have multiple speeds. We still run boost a pumps on them. Why? Because there's one speed they DON'T have from the factory-faster than stock. That's the whole point here-to get better performance out of the fans than what is possible at stock voltage.

The fans are designed to move a certain cfm of air period!!!!.Making them run any faster then they already do is not going to do anything.Fuel and air are two different things.

You know speeding up the fans on our cars won't cause them to move any air? How do you know that? What test have you done that shows this? The reason I ask is that I've sped automotive cooling fans up in the past, and they did indeed move more air. What exactly is it about the cooling fans on 2015 and 2016 mustang gt's that causes those specific fans to not move any more air when run on higher voltage?

Yeah I went and googled it. A test on it shows it significantly raises head temps....100f

How long u think their going to last, being all the heat from the radiator and engine bay and being turned up to what ever voltage your talking about.Fuel pumps sit in fuel which helps them cool better and guys are still burning them up when the push the voltage to much. How about getting a fan that movrs more cfm per minute then maybe burning up a fan.

That's true, I hadn't thought of that. There's no safety margin built into stuff, which is probably why lots of folks keep blowing engines with blowers and turbos.

Just run a meth kit...Not only cools but boost octane. The only other cooling option I would consider is for the trans...

Here is what i read.

http://norosion.com/evanstest.htm

what's your takeaway from this?
Yea thats something, artical i read was the exact opposite in reference to coolant temps, but that was evans testing. No one is going to upgrade to a higher volume water pump just to use this product. It was big hype about it around our shop,no one that we that coolant into ever complained so i dont know.Good artical though.
