I ended up ordering it from Sunshine Ford in Newburgh, NY. I had tried another dealer in late September but they weren't interested in selling me the car.

Living in this part of the country is great for buying a car because there are so many Ford Dealerships within an hours drive in this area. I decided on Sunshine Ford because they are a President's Award winner, are only 25 minutes from my house, and had a good size inventory of Mustangs, both '14s and '15s, including a 2015 GT they had no problem letting me test drive.

Plus, they have this beast to look at there: http://sunshinefordlm.com/Poughkeep...Mustang/2014-Shelby-GT500-White-Car/19358791/

They took my X-Plan no problem, and have been great so far.

I ordered a fully loaded Magnetic Metallic GT Convertible with 6-speed manual and 3.55 axle ratio. Sticker is $48,785 and with X-plan it ends up being just under $46k. I am hoping there may be some incentives when it comes in, but if not I wasn't expecting any when I ordered it.

I have a blend date on my window sticker of 1-06-2015 and estimated delivery is 2-1-15. Even though I thought I didn't want it until the end of March-early April, now I can't wait. Especially since the roads are clear right now! :D

I'm here, although I didn't buy my car in New York. When I was looking for my LE most local dealers didn't know what I was talking about. I did see forum member Babiblues75 bought her 15 from Healey in Goshen and seemed to like them. You might want to check with her. I've never bought from them but I have used them in the past for service and was happy with them.

I've looked a Sunshine Ford and although they've seemed nice I've never gotten a good price from them. My friend was looking at a 14 Fusion and had a good price from another dealership- they started giving him lease prices almost $200 per month more than he was quoted elsewhere. Only AFTER presented with that fact did they drop down which was just crazy. I got my 13 Fusion from Leo KAYTES ford in Warwick- which is a bit of a drive from me (I'm also like 15 min away from Sunshine) but they bent over backwards to help us and we got a great deal on the car as well as our trade in. Working with them now on getting my 15 Mustang V6- I should be ready in Feb/March they will honor Xplan or better and will again do everything they can to help me. My dad bought his 2012 Fusion and 2013 Escape from them as well and had nothing but great experiences including the service department. I know I sound like an ad lol but I've found them to be the best in the area so far .

This is my first experience with them and so far they've been great. I did not have to haggle because of the X-Plan and if they didn't accept it I would have moved on.

I too have heard good things about Leo Kaytes, they even send me emails, probably from when I truecar.com priced out an Explorer Sport. (I didn't buy it, I bought a 2014 Dodge Durango R/T that I liked better after test driving them both. [emoji16]). Problem is they are over an hour away for me so I would have gone to Friendly Ford in Poughkeepsie as my backup dealer.

It's important to find a dealer you are comfortable and it seems like you have and that's great! Living in this part of the country affords us so many choices in dealers! If you are not happy with one, the next is just a short drive away.

I've bought 20+ new cars since the late 80s and you quickly learn that they need you as a customer more than you need them and it's all about how you are treated.

I love new cars and mine rarely make it past year 2. Except this one, as long as this one has no major issues its stay has been planned for a good long time.

Good luck ordering yours and maybe we will pass by each other some day! No matter where it comes from we are both getting Mustangs, and how awesome is that?!?!? [emoji16]

I couldn't agree more and by no means was I speaking ill of Sunshine lol. I just never had a good experience but glad you have which may convince me to have our Fusion and the Mustang serviced there occasionally . My dad lives in Warwick so we usually plan the service so we visit my parents which makes it far more convenient lol. I hope we will pass eachother this summer.. I'll be sure to flash my lights in salute!!

I goy mine in today. Ordered and picked up at Paramus off Rt 17 in Jersey. They were cool but a total mess with getting the car in. Got my delivery date pushed back several times and even on the day it was to finally be delivered without cotus pushing it back still waited a near 2 weeks. Not really the dealers fault though. The Gm even showed me text messages on his phone where he was pissed with delivery.

Other than that the guys are cool and took my x plan no problem. They're even calling my insurance company for me and taking care of pretty much everything.

Very cool! Congrats even though getting the car was a mess. I'd never buy a car in NJ because even if you geta decent deal they still give you a $400 plus documentation fee. In NYS it's mandatory $75 so it's $325 extra at least ( I've seen doc fees of almost $700) so your great deal becomes a decent one or not at all depending on the vehicle and price you work out . Very glad you got yours and I'm looking forward to ordering mine. Since it may take 12 weeks I may order mine earlier than I thought. :ford:

I'm in the same boat, looking to order in Feb/March and I'm on the CT/NY line and feeling out a few local dealers. Brewster Ford has a CO PP on the floor and a Magnetic PP that they let me take for a drive. They weren't high pressure but did mention that they are limited to the $75 doc fee that a CT dealer is not. They also mentioned that all new Fords bought from them include a 100K power train warranty done through a 3rd party at "no cost". Take that however you like.
The other dealer I've been looking at is in CT and the salesman has been a very straight shooter, but they'll have to work around the doc fee difference if they want my order.

Avoid third party warranties at all costs. They are basically junk. The only extended warranty you should get should come Ford . I got a bumper to bumper 5yr/75k warranty from Ford for $750. The dealership cost is about $500 so I was cool with that price. The retail price was $1300. Again, Leo Kaytes Ford did a great job all around for my wife n I, so it's rally a no brainer as to where I'll be getting the car. I work for a car dealership so I know prices on things like this ..
