HQ Color Comparison?

Anyone have a link to a color comparison chart or thread with the actual cars shot with a proper camera? So many of them are shot with poor cameras so the colors are washed out, like Comp Orange, or they aren't actual cars. Preferably from the same angles and/or similar lighting...

I swore I saw one before but I might have just dreamt it!

Well thats gets to be a long drawn out discussion,I totally agree with u about pictures. I got to see a triple yellow ay the Chicago auto show never could not ever get the color balance right due to the different types of lighting. Also each color monitor might not give the right hue either. Any certain color ?

Originally going through a few trying to find one that the wife and I could agree on. I feel like life's happier when she likes my decisions.

She wasn't a fan of Race Red but she really liked the picture of Comp Orange on the Ford site. That one looks too dark compared to some other images on here, but those mostly looked washed out. It's hard to see what it would really be like in person. Any suggestions on a picture that looks true to life for Comp Orange?

Are you asking for high quality pictures of certain colors? I don't think there's a direct comparison with similar lighting and areas at the moment. I have some shots a CO PP Ecoboost.

That would be cool. I think that's on top of my list at the moment.

Well I was just logging on to Flickr to post my photos but the site is down at the moment so I can't do that. I'll keep an eye on the site and post the pictures later on.

I will say I love CO in person, it is definitely very orange. It doesn't look like race red, despite what some pictures show.

I've been through the comp orange thread, so I swear I'm not lazy... There's so much variation on the pics it'd be nice if someone had one where you could say "that's what it looks like in person". Otherwise I might have to just wait it out until more of these hit dealer lots...

That's exactly what I was thinking... Some pics look yellow and some look closer to red, but I'm hoping it's a real nice orange in person.

On my phone so cannot copy the url, but the pictures that i posted were taken with my DSLR and i calibrated the white balance in that light. To my eyes matched the color. That was posts 331 and 333 in the competition orange thread. Not to say that i am a better photographer than others or that those are the best pictures, but i can personally attest to those photos.

And it's back up. From what I remember, these are pretty accurate. Just keep in mind these pictures were taken at different times so the color will change a bit.

There are a lot more in each of the color threads, you'll have to really look hard to find those great pictures but it's worth it!

Not easy fitting 10 cars into one pic. Ford did 8.

Also plenty of high quality photos in the colors threads.
