I managed to pick up one used and got super lucky. I had intended to buy a grille mount from SCS but they never went back up for purchase. Last time I checked the site, almost nothing was there.

There isn't actually a truckload of money to be made. They have to be made in small batches for the quality to be good so the profit margin is small because SCS doesn't hike their prices.

The thing is, they should hike the prices. Then get better parts made. The market is there.

There are other options out there on eBay, I've seen both grille mount & rear mount badges for $20. Sure, they're not the howler badges, but they're very similar.

Yeah I'd pay a decent amount for them. I guess I'll just keep checking the classifieds.
