I have a screwed up bolt hole for my front sway bar (driver side).

The bolt will not go all the way in. I think I screwed it up when removing as it started on a slight angle (long story). Anyway the bolt goes back in most of the way except may 4 turns. Torque wrench shows at 18o and it wont budge further.

What options to I have for repair.

The bolt wont come out on its own (I can get out with ratchet ok). When i hit sudden holes in the road, it bumps and feels like a shock bottoming out. I though it was the shock and removed and checked all torques a few times. Then light bulb when off, probably the friggen swaybar bolt.

Wondering if there is something I can do before taking it to the dealer or maybe an auto bodyshop

Basically, the only thing you're going to be able to do is re-tap the threads. Figure out what thread pitch and size the bolt hole is, and run a tap through to clean up the threads.

Breaker bar and muscle. :)
Thats what makes this so hard. To do that I will need a bunch of extension to reach the section. Thats how I got in trouble the first time :headbonk:

interesting video, I have to figure out how to access the area with enough leverage to even screw a tap
