I've never purchased a brand new vehicle, I'm in the position to do so now and I'm wondering on average, how much would the next year's model bring the price of the current year down upon release? Or will they stay relatively the same?

If waiting will save me 5000+ I'll definitely wait lol.

Perhaps they will increase in value due to being the "First Year" on a model change.

I saved $5500 off mine back in Dec 2014. My car stickered for $46k. I had x-plan pricing and rebates to get to that total.

You can get $5k off right now, too.

You'll get a good deal if you are flexible if you are picky and are looking for a certain color combination or package you may be out of luck (not saying it's impossible). The vehicle is selling well and by this time next year I do not forsee there being many 15s left (atleast based off of my area), however if you are willing to travel or are flexible on options colors etc.. you will be able to find a car at an awesome deal. For example we have received all 15 MY Mustangs we've ordered and we have ten and it's mid June by the end of the summer I forsee us having two-three at the most and those hopefully will be gone by February. I suggest especially if you live in a colder climate to shop during the winter and maybe even look for demo Mustangs.

Koons, right?
I just looked at a GT w/ PP and several other options at Koons Sterling. The stickers was about 42.5k and their listed "wow price" was 37.2k. I'm going to wait for 2016 though for the sync3. They have had theirs marked like that for a while. The high volume dealers are the way to go.
