got 15,200 miles out of original Cup2's with just street driving. Cords showing on inside of front tires. Rears were a little better but one had a slow leak. Just put on Michelin PS 4S square 305-30-19 all around. Feels fine so far. Hoping these get to 30K.

3200 miles on the rear with no hard driving, no burnouts. But I have to make several right and left turns at intersections to leave my neighborhood and I can always feel the inside tire spinning.

The OEM alignment for the fronts caused cording in my 2016. My front Super Sports corded like that at 12k miles. Had camber bolts put in and had it realigned to avoid the front cording.

Thanks for the info, only have about 4500 miles rn, was thinking about switching to something else so i can drive when its cold, but dry out when the cup 2's go dead.

Any issues with the front splitter hitting bumps.

The outside shoulder of the tire is meant/designed to wear away, so your tires still had life most likely (but your indicator markers seem to be reached—although I hesitate in making that assumption because I’m looking at a picture).

This great article by Billy Johnson mentions this wearing of the shoulder in the link below. GT500s supposedly have tread indicator holes which would be extremely valuable as a way to tell if a tire is still good.

And Johnson is the Ford test driver on the 350, 500, Ford GT, PP2, Mach 1, and others so it’s literally hearing from the horses mouth.

Very good & informative read, thanks for posting. Shines the light on a question I have been seeking an answer for.

Knowing how to read the wear bar is a huge help.:champagne:

Cup2s are it.

Beers on me.

So far no. Supposedly it’s about 1” lower now but no issues with clearance.
Spring-related, not from tire wear......

I doubt I am going to get more than 3k out of my tires because I do so much autocross. LOL
Yup. As I predicted, 3k miles and they are done. Got RE71R tires now, which are better than Cup2s for autocross.
