Each yard has a servicing schedule for each customer, the scheduling has built in time from arrival at the yard to spotting at the customer. if car arrives after what the railroads call cut off times it will sit for the next scheduled servicing time.My car, en route to STL has been in decatur since the 24th, and will not move until this monday the 29th...5 days of no movement. Its still possible it will sit at the destination rail yard as well, dealer expect it to sit at the local rail yard for 2-4 days. I'm the unlucky type.
Mine has been at a rail yard since before Christmas as well and its only 3 hours away. Cotus is still showing an EDD of 1/15/14 for me and the salesman told me a couple weeks ago he expected between 1/5-1/15 but I am refusing to believe both and I am keep hope for tomorrow or Tuesday so it can still be a happy new yearMine's been sitting at the rail yard waiting on a truck since the 23rd, and my EDD in Cotus just got bumped again to the 4th of January. And it's only about 20 miles from my dealership!
