The purpose of this thread is to help fellow forum members. It seems like some of you have great difficulty finding sticker deals for base cars or decent R deals.

  1. Go to Ford.com and choose your car, options, colors, etc dont matter. Just choose whether you want GT350 or GT350R
  2. Hit next steps
  3. Search inventory
  4. Now at this point, this will turn into an exercise of finding the right zip codes. What you need to do is start from your own state and go with neighboring states. For each state, go to google and say "Cities in X" where X is that state
  5. In wikipedia, sort the table you get by population and start choosing cities beginning from the top. For each city you choose, check the county map and make sure that city is not close to the previous one. I usually select a city in all 4 corners of each state and 1 in the center
  6. For each city, get their zip code, go back to the ford.com page and enter the zip code
  7. Choose the car you want from the filters (2016 vs 2017, GT350 vs GT350R, colors, etc)
  8. And fill out an internet inquiry form
  9. Wait for them to email you

Now once they start emailing you, here are some common tips:

  1. You will eventually get a sticker or close to a sticker deal. You will eventually get it. Dont give up
  2. Once you get at least 1 deal, thats how you negotiate. I recommend at the beginning you dont limit your criteria. Include convenience packages too and all the colors. You may want recaros but the dealer doesnt know that. Yes you will have to use a few of them to your advantage but its part of the business
  3. As soon as you get an MSRP deal, make sure its in writing. I usually had to take screenshots of emails/phone texts and played the dealers against each other.
  4. I have now received over 20 MSRP deals doing this (most were convenience packages), including the one I used to get my car.

Good luck!
