Has anybody ever looked at hooking in a computer feed into the touchscreen (sync3) or is it just not worth the agro.

My use case is probably slightly unique, I have a customer carputer that runs some networking software (amongst other things), that would be useful to have running on the screen, rather than having an ugly additional screen.

I would love a front facing camera feeding into Sync 3, I've got my doubts that any of them apart from maybe the new first one will do it. I'm particularly sceptical about the second one for 2015-17 mustangs. The 15-16 had Sync 2 which is completely different.

There's a thread on here for the "Tesla style display" which is the ebay third link you gave. Even the guy who invented can't get it working properly! I think it might still be too early for a workable solution, except possibly that new Rostra solution... possibly.

Oh and even then it's not 100%: Installer Note: Ford multi-camera interface 250-8452 is not presently compatible with vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 Software Version 2.2. Installers are advised to use the steps below to determine which software version their vehicle is equipped with before ordering.
