Just thought I'd share a little project I've been working on the past month. I work full time in IT and I've been wanting to build my own server lab for quite some time for learning and studying purposes. The best way I learn is by hands on and simply messing shit up and building it back up. I've had it fully complete for two weeks and it's already taught me so much.
Right now I have VMware ESXi 5.5 running on the three Dell R610's For those that are familiar, I know it's outdated but that's what we are running at work so I wanted to start off with what I work with every day. On top of that I've successfully setup vCenter 5.5 and a Domain Controller, both running Server 2012 R2.
Anyone else have any home labs they would like to share and discuss? Post them up! Would love to hear the do's, don't's and lessons learned from others here.
