Now that I'm running the Vargas S2 I am noticing about a 10-15 degree higher charge air temps especially at idle. Do you guys wrap your downpipe or even look at a turbo blanket? Is that worthwhile or a waste of money. It is only mid 90's in TX with close to 60% humidity. Going to be close to 100 when I leave today. Last year in the same temps it was lower CATs though. Just curious what extra things I can do to help out. I have the Full Race Intercooler and it does decrease quickly by quite a bit when in boost. Should I even have concern as I'm hitting about 150-153 max just putting around and idle at stop lights. It does get down to 120's quick though. Maybe I'm just not comfortable with these readings yet.

there's nothing you can do to decrease the temperature of stagnant air without the help of an outside cooling source. You would need a water to air intercooler to keep the temps down while the vehicle is not in motion, or barely moving. As long as your temperatures are dropping like a brick once you start moving, that's about as good as it's going to get.

Sorry for being off subject, but being from Texas how're you liking the green filter? I'm thinking about replacing my Cobb high flow filter with the green filter. Read a lot of good reviews for it.

Works fine. I went from MAP CAI to Airaid tube, stock ford box, and drop-in green filter. It does a lot better then the MAP CAI I had.

Agreed nothing you can do when car is at a stand still. AC has such a huge affect on the CATs as well. Drove home yesterday with Windows down and noticed about a 10-15 degree difference. I really haven't tested that before.
