Hi, I think I put this in the wrong place when I posted it so I figured I would have a go here. I have a 2018 base GT with PP1, and I recently did the phoenix PX6 radio upgrade. Since I now had the toggle for drive modes I wanted to enable them. I am familiar with forscan and performed the necessary changes in the IPC and ABS modules. The drive modes were working yesterday when I performed the change. However, I went out to try them when I drove it today and I get the message "Drive modes unavailable: See manual". I thought it could have been battery voltage so I drove it around for a while to get it back to 14.5v, but no dice. I have restarted the car many times and it still does not work. Line lock and launch control are still functional so I believe it may be an issue with the changes made in forscan.

But I do not understand why it would have worked yesterday then broken this morning with no additional changes. Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this? The codes for forscan were for 2015-2017 so they did not line up exactly, but other 2018+ owners have reported success when using them.

I personally would start with disconnecting the battery for 10 mins.

I think I am going to give that a shot. Because after some more research since posting this, I have found most guides say to clear all codes, which I did not do. I am going to go give that a shot and report back.

Unfortunately, no dice on the battery disconnect either. Still the same "Drive Mode unavailable" message. Battery voltage looked good (around 14.4) with it running, but I figured it couldn't hurt to put it on the tender either. So I have the battery charging up, but I highly doubt it will resolve the issue. Any other suggestions? I appreciate the response.

Since you said you're familiar with FORScan, can you reset to factory "As Built"?
You may lose your current custom settings if you have any.
Example (needs internet connection):

I have tried using that button in the past but it can never connect to the server for whatever reason. However, using Ford's site I do have the as built for my car. I can definitely load it back into the car but then I'm left with the same issue. I cannot find the correct changes to make for the 2018+ cars. All of the posts on here show the changes for the 2015-17 and my ABS/IPC stock values are always different than theirs. Someone on here with a 2019 made the same changes I did and it worked for him, but I don't know if he used some sort of witchcraft on it lol.

I was starting to think that as well. But I went rooting around in the ipc with forscan again to find that one of the values had been reverted to stock for an unknown reason. Tried writing the change once, it said succeeded, but when I went out and back in to the module it had reset it again. Not sure what the issue was, but it took about 3-4 tries of "write succeeded" before the value actually changed. Drive modes seem to be working perfectly now. Going to go for a drive now to confirm they are good.

But if anyone else is having this issue, try ending the service procedure and going back in to see if the value actually changed. You might find like in my case that it in fact had not, so try writing it a few more times.

Thank you man, and thank you for the input. I took it out and changing modes works as it should. Pleasantly surprised with the difference between them as well, especially for a manual. I did get the message one time but the mode seemed to have stayed applied. Fingers crossed it doesn't break again. Hope this thread can be useful to someone if they are having issues.
