I think the nitto g2s have been discredited for quite a while now. A lot of people moved on to Michelin PS4s or the ContisSportcontact extremes. The reason why the nittos were popular was because they offered certain sizes. I found the Continental sport contact extremes have better traction from the dig than the Michelin PS4s.

Street tires shouldn't be expected to hook at the track.
But you’d think tires marketed as high performance summer tires would either perform well on the street or decently on the track

I must have missed the memo. Bought them in December and thought they were supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

TBH I ran firestone Indy 500’s Firehawks before and liked them way better. But compared to the G2’s they wore fast and sucked in the rain

No 100% sure its the tires themselves. I was cutting 2.0 60'ft on 295 wide KDW2's on my stock 2003 5spd mach1, and I'm NOT a great driver in any form. The nitto's aren't amazing but I'd still expect better than what you're managing.

For sure. I am a rookie, but I don’t think I suck *that* bad. I’ve had about 500 Dragy logged launches on this setup, changing about every launch variable I can think of … so it’s not a complete lack of seat time or lack of adjusting variables.

Frankly, I’m still a little confused. There’s a lot of suspension in this car.

I almost bought them myself. I started doing searches on them and saw the dissatisfaction with them. Not to mention they are quite a bit heavier than their counterparts such as the Mich PSS, PS4S and the CSE.
