So papaya how was driving home on the summer tires? I'm debating skipping the performance pack after reading how bad the tires are in lower tempatures. I'm not going to drive in the winter but really don't want to buy a set of all seasons just to feel safe in spring/ fall...
Correct. Gavin Lawrence. He is OK. But please. If you have a number in your mind, go to a different dealer, get a business card and right down on the back this number. If they come up with a different number - show him the card and say: "They gave me a different number." (That works every time for us!) Gavin is available from 9-5 tomorrow (Thursday). He can also call you if you like. Ford is offering also 0% on Ford Mustangs in the moment. Send me a PM.Going to talk to Gavin at Kentwood tomorrow afternoon, see what kind of deal he can get me. That's the sales guy you dealt with right papaya?
Ordered a V6 Convertible a few months ago. My dealer says it was built last week and is now awaiting shipment to British Columbia and is scheduled to arrive about Feb 7, Might keep it at the dealership and put a big heart on it for Valentines day.I am wondering where are all the Canadians are. Did you guys left the forum? Busy driving the new cars? No posts in the last couple days, weeks. Busy clearing the driveways?
Come on gals and guys. Don't let small community die!
What's the GoAuto card program? I'm in Calgary but I'd be willing to drive the 3-ish hours to Edmonton for $500. I qualify for X-plan through my employer but every extra little bit helps!Mostly he will match or get you a better deal. On top. Tell him that I send you. With the referral you get another $500 off (GoAuto card program) If he needs my GoCard code, ask him to check on my profile: Holger Messner.
And don't forget to pick up your free iPad Air2 if you sign! (If you don't need it - I would take it.)
I wish you all the best!

Team Ford (and inadvertently all Go Auto dealers) tried to screw me on the trade in value, 3500 under minimum black book value if I traded in same day even though I'm ordering a car, which means I'd have no car for 3-4 months!GoAuto program:
I bought a car at Kentwood Ford who is a member of the GoAuto Group. If you like to buy a car, give them my name and they will give you $500 off and I do get also $500 (not CASH) on my service card.
Team Ford and Kentwood Ford are members of this car group. :ford:
Ah, thanks for the tip. My trade in won't be worth much so I'm not worried about being lowballed. I might have to check out their dealer network this spring. I'm guessing there won't be much negotiating room off X-plan so I'm basically limited to referral bonuses and the Costco discount (if it comes back) if I want anything extra.GoAuto program:

I always have the feeling that we get screwed. Doesn't matter what dealer.Team Ford (and inadvertently all Go Auto dealers) tried to screw me on the trade in value, 3500 under minimum black book value if I traded in same day even though I'm ordering a car, which means I'd have no car for 3-4 months!
Their ad on the internet said "Go Auto gives you more for your trade in" but I got 3500 more for my trade at Sherwood Ford.

Some dealers will take less to get an older car off the lot. I'm pretty sure the red GT at Koch Ford is the first one they got back in October...getting pretty old. I've been told dealers pay interest on cars sitting on their lot, so it is costing them for it to sit they. They'd be willing to make less money to stop paying money to hold it there.its definitely interesting shopping around and seeing all the different stories you get told.
I have been given 3 very different prices from 3 different dealers
1. There are no incentives right now MSRP is what you will have to pay. Unless of course a different dealer gives you a better price...then they could match that price.
2. Told they could sell it at invoice + a small admin fee, which is apparently better then x-plan pricing, but not as good as a-plan pricing
3. Emailed back and forth with another dealer, never even called or went in, and was given a price below invoice (according to unhaggle.com)
I know dealers receive a hold back from ford when they sell a vehicle, and can also get rebates based on the volume their dealership sells, so realistically they can sell below invoice and still make a profit.
Its almost entertaining when you just take a step back and look at all the BS some dealers try to throw at you. The whole " I don't know if we can do that, let me check with my manager BS" They obviously have sold cars before and know exactly what they can sell them for.
