Here's a bit of revving done by my girlfriend.
I should've had her record it instead but still sounds good.

Good shit man thanks for that video. That's with all stock exhaust except the h-pipe right?
Side note: where did you find that blank deck lid panel without the badge on the back, I'm going nuts looking for one! Lol

Cut and clamped in to stock pipes but No mufflers, just some resonated tips.

I got the decklid from LMR a long while back. I heard Ford discontinued it.

So I was having a bit of fun in a mostly locals unincorporated road outside city limits.
I had it in sport mode auto shift, traction off, advance Trac on.

1st gear peel then 2nd gear pulls. At the end I let off the gas to try and get it to shift to third, the last rpm number I saw was well into the red about ~7300 before I let off the gas and it advanced a bit more in rpm to shift into third. I'm guessing 75 mph at least from the needle light.
As you can see the road isnt smooth so I didn't want to push it more.

Inefficient pull but still fun! Next time I'll mount the action cam.

The rule of thumb that I have always heard is h-pipe for low end torque and the x-pipe is more for high end power.
Honestly man, you're debating over pennies. Even replacing the resonator with an X/H pipe isn't giving you gains over 3-5hp or 3-5tq. You can't feel that difference in an impactful way. Not the way you would if you dropped an intake on a GT or a tune on the Eco. Big gains come from the engine bay, not the exhaust piping.

Pick the piping for sound, not performance, it's negligible at best.

That's my problem now trying to choose which sounds better. They both sound good. Why can't we have a x-h-pipe lol.

But that h-pipe is sold out currently in AM so I might just go and get that SR x-pipe.

Hey man I'm curious how hard was it to fit the GT h-pipe in the v6. Will I have to modify it in anyway to get it to fit the v6 or is it just a simple swap? Any additional hardware/fabricating to get it to fit I mean. Thanks!
Echoing what chaospiece stated, it pretty straightforward. All that is needed to adapt the factory axleback to the H are a couple of couplings/reducers. (2.25 to 2.5) Muffler shop shouldn't charge you more than $50 to adapt, line-up, and weld everything up nice & proper.

CJPP has a budget GT H as well: http://www.cjponyparts.com/resonator-delete-h-pipe-aluminized-steel-gt-2015-2017/p/RDHP1/

Except when you have to scavenge for a V6, it really does actually feel substantially different.
V8 don't collapse low end and under load like this engine does without proper back pressure.

realdayne, not debating over anything! When I do my exhaust work and make a change it will be the h-pipe. They do work differently. In the Magnaflow video they even mention the x being used by NASCAR. They keep it up in the rpm range. It will also drop 20ish pounds of your car. Combine that with lighter wheels, etc. and maybe you might feel a difference. I feel that it is just as effective if not more than a CAI that breaths the engines hot air and can cause torque loss.

I took the car to the local canyon today.
What a difference!!
Completely destroys the experience I had with the stock resonator which consisted of drone and a torque deficiency.

This drive fully cemented my decision in this midpipe. The torque is amazing and the sound is definitely a bonus.
Practically no drone!!
The drive experience was phenomenal, it wasn't super fast and hairy but this is the way a sports car should feel. Torquey and powerful and assured that the power would be there at the touch of the pedal.

Here's the video.

Does it help take away that sluggish feeling in the low rpms?

First of all it sounds great. I am new to modding I have these following questions to you.
is the one you installed for GT? Because I havent been able to find one for v6.
So, how did you install it?
I mean how did you solve the 2.5" to 2.25" issue?
If I buy this from cjpony, what connector should I buy with?

Thanks
