Just observed similar issues on a Gen II with all sorts of head lift symptoms/problems....coolant in the motor, excessive temps, overpressurizing coolant system.
They replaced the head gaskets with Cometic and did ARP studs to proper torque and have seen near 25 psi with no observable issues.
Strap in though, the MLX cometics are special order and long wait.
