An exhaust system is like an instrument. Any change in pipe length at anywhere in the system will alter the sound. That's why the S550 GT's sound so different than the S197 GT's. It's the same engine architecture but the piping length is different, it's routed differently, and the chassis has different acoustical properties. I love the way the S550 chassis acoustics sound. Not that I hate my S197 but I personally think the Coyote S197 is one of worst sounding V8 Mustangs ever, if not THE worst. Terminator or a Boss 429...acoustical sex!Wow. So would putting long tubes still would make a difference in sound? Or is it fully tuned for these headers to have optimum sound?
