FWIW I ordered from Levittown a long time ago and asked if the price is locked. Got it in writing that it will ship for the price when I ordered.

Have no idea if there is a cutoff date for that.

I hope that's the case with Levittown. I ordered a month ago with them. If the price goes to $400 then I will be just cancelling the order. I love the GT350R wheel but it's not worth it at that price for me.

I ordered from Levittown at the price of $199, I put an order in last week.

I got a message saying the price has increased over the weekend and I need to pay an extra $160 if I want to proceed with my order.

Naturally I told them that was a sly move and to refund my money. :shrug:

I just want to give a shout out to [MENTION=13918]Derek@Lethal[/MENTION] Performance. I ordered the GT350R wheel on Sunday only to get the email today about the price increase. I found a couple items on their website I needed that when totaled, cost a bit more than the total for the wheel.

He agreed to cancel the steering wheel order and send me the other items for the same price instead of refunding my money. I've been in retail sales before and I know what it's like when a supplier puts you in a jam. He could have easily said no to the price difference and sent me my money back, but instead he agreed to the even swap and made a life long customer.

Total speculation but since Levittown is a Ford dealer, its possible they have a different contract with Ford than other businesses and might not be subject to price changes for parts already on order.

With ordered cars, dealers DO pay price increases that happen between ordering and when they actually get the car if ordered for inventory. If ordered for a customer, they do NOT pay any price increases. Maybe dealers can order parts the same way and avoid increases. That might even be why Levittown charged up front while others said they would charge when they have it to ship.

It might not be Ford's top priority but neither Ford or dealers want to tell customers the price they already paid and have been waiting months for is null and void.

$350 from autonation white bear lake. Still a great price for the wheel. I replaced my GT350 wheel with the R and it really looks good with the red!

Updated ETA for the GT350R wheels without bezels is now 4/28.

I was hoping Ford would stick to their original ETA of 4/18.

Lets hope this date is not continually put back or else it might be Christmas time before these come off back order :headbonk:

A "NICE" message from the sales:
"Hello, The GT350 Steering Wheel is subject to a recent Ford price increase. The new price is $361.60. If you are still interested in the order, we can send you a funds request in a separate e-mail for $162.60. We can also change the order to the Ford Racing red stitch GT350 M-3600-M350R wheel for $350.30, which would require additional funds of $151.30. Please advise by e-mail if you would like to continue or cancel the order. Thanks."
