Just searching the forum for an answer to this. What's the difference between green catted and catted connection? One just more environmentally friendly? More power with the green catted because it sure cost alot more. Thanks
This is what I just did. ARH long with h-pipe. Plan to use factory mufflers for now. Though I got mine Beefcake.I think I'm gonna go with ARH long system from hypermotive and keep my stock mufflers. I should still make as much power with the stock mufflers as a aftermarket muffler. I can always get axle backs later

let me know if we can help you out
Thanks for the info. Makes sense to go with the high flow, non-green cats and just have the CEL tuned off. That 500 bones could go toward the tune.I have the Kooks long tube headers with the high flow cats. I debated between the high flow cats and green cats but didn't want to spend the extra $500 bucks. When the headers were installed, it only took a day for the check engine light to come on throwing the emission codes. I asked several vendor if they only sold the green cats, and they all said no so I contacted Kooks directly. Needless to say, they wanted $1100 dollars just for the green cats. I asked what the difference was. The green cats will not cause a check engine light. They supposedly flow the same as the high flow cat. I just had my tuner fix the check engine light. Love the Kooks headers........
Good to know. Thanks again for the input.I am running MBRP race exhaust with an H pipe. Did not notice an increase in sound after headers, it actually reduced the drone a little thou.
the green has a 49 state epa stamp on it. they also burn hotter, so you can keep the rear 02s enabled if you choose tooBeefcake,
Can you give us a break down on the Kooks green catted versus high flow catted?
As in which makes more/less power and which is louder/quieter?
I'm on the cusp of ordering these
Thanks!
lastly, where typically they recommend high flows to around 10psi or 700 hp cars, the green cats are good for closer to 900hp
