Why so obsession with sunvisor garage opener? Don't you have remote control ? All garage door manufacturers provide remotes as standard.

It is the last thing I would ever pay in car.

You'd be surprised at how butt-hurt the Audi guys are since the A3/S3 doesn't come with Homelink. Can't even get it as an option.

The just order the the visor from the US car. Even if your RH drive and the visor will be on the passenger side who cares. It's still easily accessible from the driver seat.
the only problem is the price rise from 100 to 300 dollars :-/

sunvisor w\garage opener
FR3Z-6304105DA
this was about USD 120, but now Ford replaced it with FR3Z-6304105DB
Identical, but now it's USD 300.

Nice informative video, but if this is the reason for yellow05gt' remote to not working in europe, I sure won't do it.. don't want to mess my controller system with another receiver + power adaptor x3

I believed that these remote controller are really 'universal'..

To be sure that the remote garage opener works here in Europe you must also consider the frequency of operation.

Remote controls work in one of the unlicensed ISM bands, here in Europe is 433.92MHz while in the US is 315MHz.

Note that also the TPMS works with those different frequencies.

I had a bad experience with this as I ordered a set of new wheels by Cj Pony Parts and it includes the TPMS Sensors and they want definitely not synchronise with the car.

My dealer put a system on the sensors and he got the right information but the car always says that I've a problem with them.

John this is really bad news - so we definitely have different frequencies with those, and the universal garage opener will not work!
I was lucky that ford raised the price and I haven't ordered it anymore :D

Yes US TPMS have a different frequency we are at 433MHz and they have 315MHz. As my usual dealer sells US models they have exchanged US TPMS with EU TPMS (for free as they can reuse them on another set of wheels). Works perfectly but I do not know where they ordered them. You might have to go through your dealer or find some Ford aftermarket store in EU to find them.

I'm already in contact with my dealer to install new sensors for the next summer when I put the wheels back on the car. :D
