For those of us who like to have piece of mind about gas tank security, there is a product for us.

http://accessories.ford.com/locking-fuel-plug.html

I'm going to order one Monday to be sure it fits, it's listed as fitting most of the Ford 2015-16s but not specifically the Mustangs.

Had one on my 2014 Focus ST, they work great. I'm an old guy and still can't get used to the whole, no fuel cap, thing.

Need to grab a couple for my current cars.

Interestingly enough I live in a fairly nice neighborhood - Microsoft / Amazon / Boeing engineers and leadership kinda 'hood - and we have had some sh*% bags shopping for gas and other things in the past few months. I know the whole siphoning thing is almost a non subject with the stang but - I have that old timer thought of liking to lock it up... JIC.

Let us know if that works!

Ugh, it's frustrating and makes me angry to hear about. Seems crime involving cars is on the rise in the nicer parts of this uppity-ville beach town, too. They have had a recent rash of car break-ins involving stolen garage door openers...thieves can get into your house later if your garage is attached to your house. I am very rarely parking outside the garage to begin with. Helps to not be in a targeted neighborhood, too. Of course my paranoia prevents me from programming the garage door opener into the car.

How can one get gas out of these cars? I have witnessed someone trying to siphon to no avail.

And I have confirmed the size of the inlet is indeed smaller on the Mustang than it is the other cars.. So I guess we wait for Ford to get around to having a correct size unit made. This reminds me of a past incident where engineers changed the dimensions of a part that was in common use on a number of machines my former company produced. I was on assignment at the Mfg plant at the time and I asked the engineers in charge why they changed the dimensions on the new machines. The engineer's response was "because I can".
