ok thanks! I have no experience with forced induction! there is a whipple car and a hellion car close to me so I am trying to get a ride in each. did you get your tuning squared away? I know I want turbos just trying to decide if all the extra complexity is worth it? I say I am going to only add turbo kit and run low boost but its probably a addiction once u get a little you want more. thanks what is your best price on kit? I think I prefer the eboost over aem.My opinion....55s are good for a stock automatic that doesn't plan on turning up the boost or installing a converter and just wants to use the car as a daily driver.
Once you start going past 8psi the power starts to quickly drop off with 55s past 5-6000rpm
This is my 7th Turbo car and have played with many different set ups. I did run a smaller turbo on one of my fox bodies and wasn't impressed with the power band. It came on like a PD Blower but up top the car fell flat, just like nitrous.
My current car is an Auto and once I installed a Circle D 3600 with this set-up, all I can say is wow! And if I had bought the 55s originally...I'd be spending money right now ordering the 62s.
Again, my opinion and I'm sure many will argue the power and torque down low with the 55s vs the 62s but I say, can you use that power the way it comes on? I know with my set up, there is no way you can just floor it off the line.
