Hi

Attended to the event, i'm the guy with the brown hat on the group pic and author of the videos (not great I know, first time I used this camera).

It was a two part event. Ford France had the convertible just for this very day, so earlier in the morning, there was a presentation for Ford employes (pics inside Ford). Then it was our turn to see it.
For the event, they asked us (Mustang Club de France and Mustangpassion France) to come with our Mustangs for a diner. Around 33 Mustangs attended, missing only Mustang II and SN95 unfortunatly, but with 2 exceptionnal Mustangs ... La Naine (the red convertible) which is an historical Mustang being at the same time a pre-production one, the first Mustang ever shot in a movie (Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez) and as far as we can tell, the oldest regularly driven, and Henry Ford II's '66 Mustang.

We didn't get much more informations about the new Mustang. Just that it should be available in France by the summer, and as planned without the V6. I don't remember seeing the turn signals flashing but I noticed some amber sometimes ... maybe camera flashes ... but for sure, they'll light amber for Europe and won't be sequential.
The 5.0 convertible was the one that attended at Geneva and Barcelona. It's a prototype, quite fragile (we were'nt allowed to seat in it, driver had to park with wheels straight, there are flaws in adjustments all around, etc), but it's running as you can see in the videos.

One thing about the trunk, it'll pop ... there's the rear-view camera where the trunk lock is usually located ... guess it'll get lot of key scratches before owners get used to it ...

The video of the GT sounds promising... a nice low rumble which I haven't heard in a lot of videos of the car near idle.

So the car will be available in France in the summer? as in order banks open in summer or did they mention when it would be in dealers?

Car should be in french dealers for 2015 summer but if I've heard right at the diner following the event, we might start to order it at the Mondial de l'Auto 2014 in Paris ...

Nice rumble, barely audible at idle if you're not close to the rear of the car. Noise regulations being pretty restrictive in EU (around 78db I think), that's not a surprise ... but I won't loose much beting on Borla, Magnaflow and others abeing ready if not already working on aftermarket exhauts.

I know is a prototype but man really hope they have all of the flaws worked out before launch. Ford doesn't exactly have the best track record with new models.
