Hi all
I want to disable my DRL's and I think this is possible using FORscan software and an OBD device such as the obdlink mx.
Before I shell out £100 for the obdlink, Does anyone know if tune devices such as nguage and sctx4 allow you to do the same thing or are two separate devices required? Alternatively can these things be requested in the custom tune from Lund ?

I know my Cobb doesn't do this, however I know @Accull2000 has used forscan to remove his DRL link

One of the following links will probably help you do what you want:

Also I found on eBay this USB adapter that works perfectly with FORSCAN, as it can read and write HS and MS-CAN modules, without the need of an expensive Bluetooth or WiFi adapter:

ELM327 USB modified for Ford ELMconfig FTDI chip HSCAN / MSCAN Forscan OBD2
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELM327-US...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

It's of great quality and very easy to use. You can also find the exact same adapter shipped from the UK for a lot cheaper if you search on eBay.co.uk.

Ngauge/SCT devices will not do what you want. You need a OBDLink device that can communicate and write to the CAN BUS modules in the car, and FORScan

Yup, you need an OBD connector. If you can handle a little bit of wiring/soldering, you can buy a £15 ELM connector from ebay and wire it to access HS and MS CAN.

Then download FORscan and get the license sorted.

Once you're set up you can change the DRL configuration settings in the body control module.

Alternatively, just pull the harness off the back of the bulbs - this will mean they will work (for MOTs and such) when you plug them back in.

:D
