Ford Racing intake and tune

First of all I must apologize as I've been out of the modding game for a while. The last car I modded was my 2005 Focus ST. I haven't had a tuned car since my Diablo tuned 2000 Focus. I've been driving my completely Malibu (aka Dadmobile) since then. Back then you could add a CAI and not worry about a tune. Come to think of it, most CAIs kept the stock MAF and tube, so I'm not sure if that was the reason or if technology has just changed that much.

Anway, I want to eventually add a CAI once I get my Stang and I know I'll need a tune. I am intrigued by the FR parts because I like the idea of being able to maintain a warranty. So, my question is this; will the FR tune include the necessary adjustments to make the CAI effective? It seems like the FR tune would be more of a one size fits all tune that wouldn't be ideal for running with a CAI. But, it also makes sense for the two parts to be able to work in conjunction. I hope this all makes sense.

Also, I realize that the 2015 products might not be finalized / released yet, but I hoping previous generations are similar enough that you guys might be able to offer some insight.

Can't speak to the future.
But in the past, they had packages that included matching tune.

Nice looking CAI... But don't know yet if they'll offer a matching tune.

I too am curious about it. It would be worth going through Ford if the warranty, and extended warranty, remains intact.

Looks like it has a foam seal that seals it to the hood. It also comes with a stock sized MAF so you can run it with no tune. Interesting.

I am thinking about having an FRPP catback installed when I order my car, but I might consider doing a cai/tune combo instead.

I'm curious why you feel that way. I haven't seen anything to the contrary. But, I did read an article a couple months ago (the one about FRPP putting an EB in the 13s, a GT in the 12s, and SC GT in the 10s) If I remember correctly, the article mentioned "unique ECU calibrations" in all 3 cars. So, they are obviously testing it at the very least.
