This is the problem with our market in general. Ppl are willing to accept and pay for something that doesn't have the quality it should, so businesses take full advantage of it and continue manufacturing junk to sell to the suckers willing to pay for it. It has been said these FRPP panels are pulled straight from the line before emblems are drilled in. The profits made from that are probably astounding. Ppl do not educate themselves before throwing away their money. Food, clothing, soaps, cars, computers, etc do you know what you're paying for before you buy it?

I understand why the dent is there, but the whole reason why the blank decklid is purchased is to have the clean look!

^This comment was probably mentioned 10 times. Didn't read the thread, lol.

So, a little update. I received my deck lid from CJPP. It had the dreaded dimple, but the thing is, it took me 10 min to find it even when I knew what I was looking for. The dimple is honestly not even 5% as bad as some make it seem. I find it perfectly acceptable and I am very ocd. I did return it though, not because of the dimple, but because the edge of the panel was chipped and there was a deep scratch on it. I can safely say don't let the dimple dissuade you, but I can't really attest to fords quality control on this product. Also, CJPP's customer service was very satisfactory.

I have one on the way from Levittown. Will report back on the dimple and overall quality as well.

The emblem delete look is really nice looking on these cars. I really want to buy another one of these panels but maybe later on, once they are consistent with the quality. I hope we can keep this thread updated so people can gauge the quality and hopefully see some improvement. It seems like American muscle no longer stocks these panels.

I was all set to order one but with the dimple issues I decided to go with a CF Panel

I'm surprised many vendors haven't stopped selling these panels...they must have had so many returns due to the dimple issue.

Ray from ford racing was going to update me and check his inventory 2 weeks ago well nothing yet. Best bet, take off your factory gt embelem and have a body shop fill and paint it gloss back. Will be around $100.

I have yet to see a panel that DOESN'T have a dimple. it's well known and been documented now forever.

Mine has the dimple as well. Can you see it? :D
The circle in the middle is a shadow from the backup camera. Some must be worse than others. I didn't even know mine had it until I saw posts like this and I had to really look for it to see it.
