Cool deal -- sorry your car is being held. I'm talking to dealerships now, trying to get a firm price that works for me. I go to one tonight, and tomorrow, and maybe Sunday too. Right now I'm looking at a base GT with Performance Pack and Recaro's out the door for less than 36k -- that's the price to beat...My order went in the last week of December. My dealer photocopied my EAA rebate certificate. Supposedly he contacted Ford Incentive Protection at that time. My convertible was one of the 4,000 'held' for whatever QC problems. So it still hasn't arrived yet, expected EDD is 04/04.
At that time, if Ford/dealer gives me any excuse about the EAA Incentive is not valid, or that the $500 rebate is no longer valid, I will simply walk away from the deal. I already informed my dealer that should ANY problem show up...financial or QC, I will cancel the order.
