Did you find any more information out? I am going to the dealership today about a mustang they are wanting to sell me. They said they can install the 051A package but I don't know how they would. Talked to Americanmuscle.com and they said the car doesnt have the wiring harness... so i dont know how they are gonna do this. I am desperately looking for information on this so i can make an educated decision on this car.

No, I honestly decided if i do fog light, Im going to set them up like the ROush and put them in the lower grill & wire them into the Headlight fuse. If the dealer said they can add it, and its not expensive I would say go for it as it will be warrantied through them

Yeah I am gonna see what they can do. They said they can install all the package, the only thing I worry about is the wiring harnesses. my questions are can they install the power seats and can they install the fog lights to factory specs in a mustang that came with the base package. That's all i'm worried about.

I haven't looked at the service manual but I'm guessing you will need the switch, wiring from switch to relay/power distribution block/lights, add a fuse (may need to have fuse pins installed in factory slot?) and the lights/bezels.

It could be done if you wire it yourself. You may be able to source the proper plugs with the part numbers given in the serv. manual (it has pin outs too).

You can get a sub to the manual for a month at motorcraftservice.com

Im honestly shocked the offered to install the package, my dealer was like, Nope, we cant. LOL, the wiring harness is no big deal, they have to chance the switch anyway so they are just probally adding 1 plug and wire for the fogs.. I say go for it man.

How can they install the 051A Package? Its not only Fog lamps but also power drivers seat and 18" Foundry Wheels..

i used to work for Chrysler. we did this regularly for Ram owners. They buy the kit. includes a new switch, and then foglights/bezels, and then we'd add the wiring. usually was a simple harness that attached to the main harness.

Dont mean to thread jack but is it possible to modify the wiring somehow to have the fog lights be able to turn on and off by simply pressing the button and not having to have the headlights or parking lights on with them?
