Is it possible to fit a trunk spoiler without drilling? I like the Mmd V series spoilers but my car is on lease and don't want to drill any holes.
Will 3M tape be strong enough? I know the correct way will be to drill holes, but will 3M tape do the job well enough. I'm in the UK so have no need to worry about heat

Yes, Steeda mounts theirs with tape and an epoxy. It is not coming off.

I may be wrong but I think he will need it to come off at the end of the lease. Tape is definitely not permanent but the epoxy may be too strong to not do damage to the paint.

with that big spoiler. you want to drill. i've done an install on one. no way would I just put it on with tape personally. shouldn't have leased if you wanted to mod or at least least with plan to buy.

To be honest not sure why I mentioned the lease. With all my cars I always put back to stock when selling. I do plan on keeping this for a while even after it's paid for, but I don't want to to anything permanent to the body work (drilling holes)
I do think the the V series is way to big to rely on tape. Will look at something a bit smaller. The rear end needs something!

I have the MMD V series spoiler. It is a tall spoiler that obviously creates some unknown amount of down force greater than the stock spoiler. I find bugs splattered on it frequently. That being said, the contact area with the car is small. I would not begin to trust it with only tape. There always has to be first for everything though, your call.

There is one option for you that you might not have considered. If you purchase a take off factory spoiler the same color as your car, you could buy the MMD V-series and install with the holes. If you decide to return the car, just pull the V-series spoiler off and put the factory spoiler in it's place. It will use the same holes, and, retain a factory appearance. Having a rear spoiler will add to the BB value as well.

Realize that OEM spoilers are drilled/bolted because of safety issues by the government. If one of those flew off on the highway and went through a windshield and killed someone the auto manufacturer would be sued for millions.

Sure the tape can hold it but personally, I would (and did) drill. Just what you do not need is it coming off sometime in the future and hitting someone or another car causing injury or damage. Unless you have millions to spent settling and legal defense.

You can always sell the car with putting on the OEM blade spoiler. You can usually pick one up painted for $100 from people who changed theirs out.

3M extreme mounting tape will hold just fine for most small spoilers. I have my foush spoiler on with 3m and its not going anywhere unless I want it to.
