For anyone interested in Ford servicing costs my Mustang 5.0 Auto first service (10K miles) was completed today

After discussion Think Ford Guildford could offer me 3 service payment options.
1. Pay for individual services for a total cost of £807.00 for 3 services
2. Monthly direct debit service plan at a similar total cost to option 1 but pay £229.00 today
3. Ford Protect Premium Plan 3 years £590.00 which I purchased and paid by credit card.

Interval 1 Years (10000 ml) Interim Service £229.00
Interval 2 Years (20000 ml) Major Service £319.00
Interval 3 Years (30000 ml) Interim Service £259.00
Not known why Interval 3 costs more than Interval 1
It's possible that these prices could increase before the services become due.

2 Years 2 £390.00

As discussed in other threads many of you will do your own servicing or use an independent but this is not an option for me.

I've gone with the Ford Protect, Vertu Motors (owners of Bristol Street Motors) have their own servicing - was £790 on a pay monthly, I naivley agreed, then googled a bit, cancelled, got refunded, and paid £590 flat, for the 3 years - Much better .

And Vertu's wanted me to get a service in December; expecting me to have covered 10k by then.... :headbonk:

I will be going to Dave and Lee [MENTION=13889]djone101[/MENTION] to have mine serviced. Not even asked about their prices but I bet it will be cheaper than Ford and they will do a better job. I trust them to use Ford recommended parts to keep my warranty in tact so no need to pay a ridiculous price from Ford.

I'm heading to Modurstang for my first service on Tuesday. Much rather give them my money than have Ford practice their first Mustang service on mine!
