I have an appointment for servicing early next month and requested all software updates as well, I hope the AT rumor is true... not that I'm complaining about the AT though. But like mentioned, in first gear it's a bit more tail happy... especially in sport+.

For a mundane commuting car, an Auto is perfect (my last Volvo was an auto).

For a sportscar with a thumping V8 and an LSD.... manual please. I never even considered the auto when placing my order.

It depends on what you want from the car, I suppose.

"bus shifting auto" - that's just sports manual snobbery... any modern AT gears quicker than people. Yes, it's not a Porsche/BMW super double clutch but it's good enough.

(As I said, I've been driving MT since forever but I still prefer my AT Mustang)

It's not about the shift speed, but the way that the 'passage' from one gear to another is managed.
However here this is not snobbery.. even the worst housewife\granny\non-enthusiast driver doesn't even think about getting an auto :)
You never ever think about it when choosing a car.

well, that may be the same reason as up here... it's what we are used to, and it's for us basically because it costs more and thus dealers don't stock it...

the times they are a changing though - since all these electronic vehicles have no gears... (as if I need to remind you all that the Tesla is cheaper than my Ecoboost up here...)
