So as some of you know from my prior post about possible boost leak on Vargas turbo, I've been 19-20psi and have tightened everything up and still no change, Monday I'm going in for smoke test and see what's up, there has to be some leak somewhere.

I decided to drive the car today, and I did not have Cobb on car, and decided to check boost gauge on car to see if anything was different, and what I found is that I'm hitting 25psi quite fast and easily, whereas the Cobb was always giving me lower readings, even though I could feel the boost come on quick, so my question is, why is this happening ? I'm sure car gauge is not that accurate, but could Cobb be off somehow ?
Let me know thoughts on this.

For what it's worth, my factory PP boost gauge is normally right on the money with what the AP is displaying.

Ok thanks Juben, I got the Cobb unit from Adam, going to have to bring this up, I noticed once or twice that the Cobb meter hit 21 psi but showed only 19 on data log, if anyone else has had this issue please let me know if gauge and meter match or don't match, when I did these 3rd gear pulls I did not even 100% floor throttle, there was still juice left and hitting 25+psi on gauge.

I agree, the readings are dead on between my AP and factory gauge.
My datalogs matched the AP max readings as well.

I don't have EBM but with PP package, don't you have a mechanical gauge(center dash) and still have the digital one in dash, how does that match to the PP and AP one.
I would imagine it should match the AP as it reads same data.

Edit: I don't mean mechanical as its electronic AFAIK, but has separate sender ?

For some stupid reason ford removed the boost display from the center dash screen on EB PP cars. :/

Yes mine is a pp and has boost gauge non electronic dash mounted, that's how I saw descrepncy between the Cobb boost meter, and dash boost gauge.

...and took it totally out of the line of sight. Those two gauges are there for the ghosts in the backseat to monitor. Had to put my AP on the windshield to monitor things like boost better.

Things like that remind me of how cool cars with wrapped cockpits and gauges feel when sitting in them. I like all of the center display digital stuff nowadays and the dash gauges are more of a novelty, but I love the driver orientated cockpits like the old 3000GT and Supra where all of the gauges were looking at you.

This. ALL OF THIS. Who thought that was a good idea? why not have the PSI on the left hand side.. as that's usually a little more monitored than oil pressure I'd presume?
