ever see a window sticker like this?

the online window sticker for me GT was normal. when i got to the dealership top look at the car this was in the glove box. they said they had to sit on the car for a while until the car was ok'd by Ford to be sold. I've never ran across this before.

It may be because of the recall on the 10-speed automatic. The dealers are not allowed to sell them until the recall issue has been corrected. They won't even let you test drive them.

I believe the recall was related to the digital dash which my car doesn't have.

The recall just states the instrument cluster, does not seem to indicate if it is just limited to the 12" display.

That sticker was in the glove compartment. My guess (pure speculation) is that it was on some sort of factory hold. The hold was released, that sticker was removed and replaced and instead of throwing the old sticker away (as it should have been) it got stuck in the glove box. May have happened at the factory, may have happened at the dealer, who knows. In any case, you can scan the QR code on that sticker and get the final sticker from the Ford site, which looks perfectly normal. Now you have something unusual.

Weird. The date at the bottom of that sticker suggests that the window sticker was generated 11/27/17. But the COTUS information is wonky. Order complete and In Production the same day then shipped to Oregon by rail all within four weeks.

Maybe this is one of those legendary manually entered Priority 1 orders. Or maybe something went wrong in tracking it through production.

My experience is close, but that it was an early build, and shipped to the dealer before official announcement. Its intent was to allow the dealer to have one ready for display, on the day of announcement.

It was officially owned by Ford, so the dealer could not sell it early. :ford:

Once announcement was made, a regular window sticker should have been issued for this Mustang.
