The throttle on mine gets noticeably doughier and the DSC seems to be in far more of a nanny mode
OK, thanks for that, it's raining now and I'm leaving work soon, so I'll give it a go and see if can avoid wrapping it round a tree!

OK, question - does snow/rain mode work for manual gearbox? I know it changes up gears earlier in an auto but what can it do for a manual?

My car is a manual and it certainly does neuter the throttle.

Easiest way to feel the difference is to get the car up to a speed and hold the throttle dead steady, then cycle through the settings. When you drop it into Wet/Snow, you will notice the car will start slowing down. Move the toggle back into Normal or Sport and the car will speed up again.
