Looks like my clutches/valvebody are going, skipping 3rd with traction.....harsh down shifts ect...cold morning flares...
I was looking for a donor trans for short downtime while I have my original eventually upgraded.
Its my understanding many have used the truck 10r80 because it has the more desirable larger surface area torque converter ( in fact the new mach one specifies its using the larger torque converter 10r80), however ecoboost salvage trans are cheap and plentiful....if they are the same mechanically and physically they would make a quick and easy bridge or core for building, either way i realize i have to get the valvebody married to my ECU.....
Thanks, or any known good shops that can handle a build quickly, trying not to be down another 5 or 6 weeks again.....
