Just a quick question. Is it dumb for me to put DRs on a pretty much stock GT? The only mods I have is a K&n drop in, ford racing x pipe and roush axle back. I just ordered SVE series 2 wheels 20x8.5 and 20x10. Rears would probably be 275/35/20. The only reason I'm entertaining this thought is because a close friend of mine claims he can get me a really good deal because of his job (which I will not mention). I do plan on doing more performance mods in the future but I doubt it will be within the lifetime of these tires. Thank you for any input.

If your ok with spending the money now to grab a pair do it, if not you can wait and allocate the money to motor mods and once your pushing more power then you can get DR's.

The thing is that I need to buy tires regardless, and the deal my friend can get will be able to get me DRs cheap and he's really pushing for me to get DRs, I just don't feel like the power output of this car really requires that level of tire yet, let me know if I'm wrong.

If its now sc or boosted the dr wont really do that much for you. A stickier better non dr can work but its up to you

Plus dr's in rain are not fun so it would be a setup to run only on dry and hot days
