Downpipe Suggestions

I think that people in this thread couldn't care less about your hate towards Adam. This is a downpipe-related thread and people come here to post their experiences and ask questions related to downpipes. Lets keep it that way.

Instead of going from one thread to the other bashing Adam, I would suggest that you start a new thread, lets call it "I hate Adam" and focus all your negative energy there. Taking into consideration that no one in the US likes Adam, I suppose that this thread would be full of negative comments from people who blew their engine because of him within a few days. You can even start a website: ihateadam.com (I checked, it's free).

This is my last comment on that debate. My next one will be downpipe-related. My apologies to the other members for my participation in this useless and pointless conversation.

I am wanting to get this one. Cheap and has a cat so I can pass a visual inspection.

From what I've been reading, I'm afraid I'll start spewing smoke out of the exhaust if get one...

Actually 1 would need to gut the PC V valve add a catch can for the smoking issue .. 1 would want a tune for the performance aspect of adding a high flow cat and down pipe according to the experimentors . Also there is the issue of the cel issue with the install where the 1 gets that cleared up because the oxygen sensor gives strange signals .. if some 1 could chime in on the procedures that must be undertaken to have a proper installation that would nice ..

[MENTION=15413]Brian V[/MENTION] a friend of mine had recently installed an MBRP catted dp and tuning solved the smoking issue. Of course a catch can can also help if installed in parallel, but tuning is always advised after installing a dp. Beware though, you cannot completely eliminate the fuel smell issue, you will always get some.

I am sorry, I cannot help with the CEL issue, as he didn’t get a problem with that. Maybe it’s related to the type of dp you installed?

Stainless works 3" I pick up 20 ponies with this after my Cobb stage three tune..american made..this was cated downpipe too.

Catless DP gets you smoke. No CEL if O2 sensor extension is used. UPR DVCC and PCV valve gut eliminated my smoke and 8k miles later, no CEL or smoke. After 8k miles I tuned it with Lund.

No Smoke or Smell with the afe catted Downpipe and the Tomei Exhaust. Just a lot of noise...Oh, probably no HP gains though. Really can't tell from the seat dyno. Of course, I only bought the downpipe so the car will be loud. Thanks Ford. Job 1....:ford:

I'm running the MBRP catted DP for 3000 miles, never had smoke , smell or any other issues.
That said, the rest of the exhaust is stock and it was then tune modified by Tune+ (please STFU)
