I haven't had any gear lockout, but the clash can be absolutely brutal unless I granny shift into gear. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth when I'm shifting quickly. Other than the clash, I actually don't have any issues with the stick. My old Mustang had an MGW and I loved it, so I know I won't be disappointed, but this car is just a daily so if it doesn't fix the clashing then it doesn't seem worth it (to me). I know the stock shifter is mounted to the frame, so I'm hoping that's the issue at hand. If I wasn't so busy then this would probably be a no brainer, but as it stands right now I'll have to dedicate some time to get this installed, which adds to the hesitation.
