Has anyone used, or see used, these things:

Effective, cheesy, cool? I guess with black rings you'd not notice them much...

meh not for me, not sure if you watch the show or not, but Edd (formerly) from Wheeler Dealers installed a set of these on a set of 10th anniversary replica AM wheels on a Fox Body convertible they built

Thanks - I'm not sure how I feel about them - but if they offer some protection, I might try a set. With black wheels, yellow might look good on DIB - plus I just ordered some silver and machined wheels that might be harder to refinish - it's just too easy to curb a wheel - more a matter of if than when. I'd avoid them if they were solely a ricer-type item.

ehhhhhh...... We say more cheesy than cool...
Looks like the old time attack wheels for the old fellas that remember that.
